What are the differences in features between the pro and free versions .... With the free version I can't try anything .... where is the midi file loaded .... or if I set up the input so I get midi data then how can I control it with the midi keyboard? Pop-ups take too long .... awesome .... I cannot know how your software works .... Thanks!

Pop-ups take too long .... awesome .... I cannot know how your software works .... Thanks! Hi! The differences are stated in the Download section of the website. Basically, for the Demo version you don't have any time limitation, but you cannot add more than 3 companion devices and you are unable to Record/Export a performance into a MIDI file, which is useful if you want to manipulate the final work within your DAW of choice. Although you are able to capture the sound in the DAW, that depends on your studio setup. I suggest you read the User Manual first, which is going to be improved in the next few days thanks to submissions like yours. Also, we are generating some Video Tutorials that will be available very soon, so please come around from time to time or subscribe to the YouTube Channel. To start, first define your Input and Output ports in a Companion (add one with the plus icon button), then setup the steps and start playing the keys in the instrument that act as the input. I suggest you play around and wait for the new help content that we are delivering the next few days. Best, Nicolás

Pop-ups take too long .... awesome .... Next version includes a way to dismiss manually. From an usability perspective, having them show for a period of time to display important messages is a way users don't close it accidentally and miss the notice, which is something that happens often in this type of software.

You should correct the thread title. Nobody is winning anything, you're going to selectively pay some people for their IP. It's amazing to me how many times that I get asked to provide free content. Now it seems that software developers, in addition to expecting me to beta test their software, want me to provide them content for marketing that they might "pay" me for (who owns the rights?). Quotes becuase I would not be getting paid for my music as I normally would at the usual rate, but rather I would be getting a beta copy of some software.
If you need marketing, send NFR copies to a few YouTube content creators who will review your software and vlog about it. Don't ask musicians to work for (nearly) free.

Thanks for your feedback havoc911. It's not by far the intention to get anybody work for free, we're just encouraging our first users to share their work and try to group such material in one single YouTube channel. In exchange, we give them the possibility to enjoy all the features that PRO offers (and will offer in upcoming updates) for free. It's an effort paid by another effort. The only motivation is to encourage users to share their material so we understand better what are the uses and different approaches they take, generate some buzz so we all benefit from others' material. Arpado does not collect statistical information by itself.

Regarding the rights, it's obviously yours. You can even place a statement at the beginning or end of the video. Or we'd place it for you in the comments. Whatever works best for the creator of the video and music.
